EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
GENERAL INFORMATION
The CCNA Scholarship Program consists of generously donated
Scholarship Funds utilized to financially assist college and
Bible School students who are members of our CCNA churches and
who pledge to use the skills acquired through their education
to advance the Kingdom of God via the CCNA.
Application procedure is simple. Required forms must be filled
out accurately, completely, and within the time limits imposed
by the CCNA Education Department. All application materials are
obtained from and returned to the CCNA Education Department Executive
Director. All awarded funds are forwarded directly to the educational
institution for credit to the student's account.
Unless otherwise specified by the donors, CCNA scholarship
awards are generally granted to full-time students (male or female)
pursuing Christian or ministerial education from an accredited
or otherwise recognized educational institution. Currently, we
have the following scholarship funds available:
The Helen Lipps Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Two $500 grants are awarded each year from this fund.
- Ministerial students in their Junior or Senior year are preferred.
These can be enrolled in either a Pentecostal or other Christian
evangelical school.
The Alfred Palma Memorial Scholarship Fund
- One $500 grant is awarded each year.
- Recipients can be pursuing either ministerial or professional
careers (especially the health field).
The Dr. Alexander M. Roberts Scholarship Fund
- Two $500 grants are awarded each year.
- Needy ministerial/missions students in their Junior or Senior
years are preferred.
The Lucy Saginario Memorial Scholarship Fund
- One $500 grant will be awarded each year for five years starting
in 1998.
- Awards will be made to either a young lady who is enrolled
in a Christian Education degree program or desires to serve the
Lord on the Mission field; or a young man pursuing a Bible college
degree in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Ministries, or Christian
Education. The college need not be accredited.
The Darrell Valentino Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Awards from $25 to $250 will be awarded as funds are available
throughout the year to any student of any age pursuing Christian
Education, either full-time or part-time, enrolled in a traditional
or correspondence school, such as our own CCNA School of the
Bible.
- This fund only requires a simpler 1-page Application Form
which needs to be endorsed by a CCNA Pastor.
- Unlike the other Scholarship Funds listed above which are
primarily financed by the regular donors who originated these
funds, the Valentino Fund is designed to be financed by as many
of our CCNA members and churches as possible, in order to reach
and help as many CCNA students as possible. We welcome and
solicit donations!
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
- Applicants must be active members of a CCNA church or ministry.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a recognized, accredited,
degree-granting educational institution. (Does not apply to "Valentino
Fund")
- All else being equal, ministerial students enrolled in a
Pentecostal school will be given preference. Non-ministerial
students will be considered per qualifications specified by the
donors.
- Ministerial students must articulate their intentions to
utilize their talents and acquired skills within the CCNA local
church and organization.
- Applicants must demonstrate their financial status and needs.
- Applicants may apply for more than one CCNA-sponsored scholarship
program, (i.e., Christ Crusaders, Women's Ministries, or District
Scholarship programs), but in order to serve a maximum number
of CCNA students, efforts will be made to avoid award duplication.
- Award winners will be notified in writing and will be announced
at the CCNA National Convention.
- Education Department Scholarship Awards (usually in the amount
of $500) will be forwarded directly to the school of record to
be credited to the recipient student's account.
- Award recipients will be expected to express Christian courtesy
and acknowledge their awards with a direct communication to the
donor, (i.e, a "thank you" note).
SPECIAL NOTE:
Every dollar donated to the various Scholarship Funds is used
for scholarship awards. No administrative costs are deducted.
We encourage contributors to invest in the CCNA's future,
and we encourage pastors, parents, and students to take advantage
of these benefits by requesting CCNA Scholarship Program Applications
