CASA Ministries

Founded as Moshakga Christian Assembly in 1990 by John and Nancy Hudson, missionaries to South Africa. Starting under a mango tree with 5 people it is now a growing ministry consisting of 4 planted brick built churches, 2 planted outreach churches and 4 local affiliated pastors and their churches.

The goal of the ministry is to lead souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to train them up in the ministry to go forth and lead others to Jesus. This goal is being realized every day as people get saved and catch the vision to evangelise. Pastor John Hudson, went to be with Jesus in 1997 and Nancy returned to South Africa to continue the work and plant churches.

The first church planted is Moshakga Christian Assembly and is pastored by Pastor Jonas Mangena. Jonas got saved under the ministry as a young man and grew in the knowledge of Jesus and the Lord just drew him naturally into the ministry. He leads powerful worship services and is also the Youth Pastor and assistant Overseer to Nancy. Moshakga also has a feeding program for children twice a week.. This is the strongest church in the ministry right now…..where we pull out leadership and there is a membership of prox.400 consisting of a strong youth group, faithful mothers, and many children.

The second church is Rabothata Christian Assembly. This village is on the mountain actually overlooking Moshakga,. This village had no church nor saved people. The old chief would not let any church in. When he died, the new chief welcomed us. Pastor Michael Mangena, Jonas brother, just out of teachers college, felt led to come into the ministry and now Pastors this church with a membership now of about 300. A lot of deliverance is being experienced at this church as witchdocters get saved and burn their “stuff” and people are being set free of evil spirits.

The third church is Lighthouse Christian Assembly and currently is being Co-pastored by Pastor Nancy Hudson and Pastor Phillip Mangena another brother who has been the ministry evangelist and young youth leader. This church is leading the way for a sports program as many youth and children gather each day to play Cricket, Volleyball, Net ball and any other thing they can think of to play. A bore hole was drilled and a tank set up here to help the villagers get water. This is Nancy’s residence also.

The fourth church is Ramphenyane Christian Assembly and is being Pastored by Pastor Rosina Motloutsi, a faithful mother in the church. She started under the tree and grew so strong in the church, taking a leadership role in all ministries. This church is in the valley of Modjadji along the river and is a site for a future retreat area for local churches to use.

Our desire is to see God Almighty and the Lord Jesus Christ glorified in all we do as we reach out to others with the Gospel, with food, clothing, and love.
